“A world where technology empowers everyone to use the law.”

About Us

Legaler Aid is a nonprofit initiative of Legaler.com, a Thomson Reuters venture-backed company and the leaders in secure online communication for the legal industry. We’re on a mission to create a world where technology empowers everyone to use the law.

Globally, we are experiencing the greatest demand for legal help in human history and our current justice system isn’t equipped to cope. With over 5 billion people, the majority of the world’s population, living without access to the justice system, we need to fundamentally reimagine how we approach solving one of society’s greatest challenges.

The economic fallout from the recent pandemic has put an even greater burden on the justice system, which now faces the compounding effects of an impending health, domestic violence, employment and eviction crisis, in a time of heightened tension concerning politics, police brutality and racial inequality. In the United States alone, 80% of people are unable to get legal help and an estimated 3 out of 5 people go to court without a lawyer. Something needs to change.

Using technology, we are reimagining a new generation of online products and services that will be able to let society’s most vulnerable access legal help no matter their race, color, creed, gender, nationality or even their physical location. We believe legal advice is a basic human right and we will fight to see that every person is served by the rule of law.

Our Impact

Legaler Aid’s journey begins with a platform that allows anyone to seek crowdfunding for their legal case through tax-deductible donations from the public. Using our unique ‘Proof of Justice’â„¢ blockchain technology we are able to deliver unprecedented transparency to track funds from ‘donor to recipient’, increasing the trust behind philanthropic giving.

Organizations that are working to expand access to justice are also able to create a ‘Cause’ page, which allows them to raise funds for their mission from supporters that are passionate about the work they are doing to make the world a better and more just place.

Additionally, Legaler Aid is building a ‘virtual legal clinic’ that will give society’s most vulnerable citizens access to free legal help from a global network of pro bono lawyers looking to connect with cases and causes they’re passionate about. Using secure online video, the platform will be able to have a greater impact and reach than traditional services that are restrained by bricks and mortar, allowing anyone, anywhere in the world to receive much needed help.

Your Donation

Donated funds will be used to continue building out the Legaler Aid products and services as well as growing the global team that is taking our mission to the world. We estimate for every dollar spent on Legaler Aid’s scalable technology, a 40x multiplier of free legal advice that can be delivered to the public through crowdfunding and virtual legal clinic services.
